A Little Bit About Us...
Feel Good Glass consists of John and my Shopmate /
Love / Better Half, Lindsey. We are based out of a humble workshop
in sunny Orange Park, FL We are always furthering our skills and knowledge with glass, be it hot or cold working, continuing to strive for unique and original art work. All of the art work made here at FGG is borosilicate glass. We also incorporate certain precious metals like .999% silver, 24k gold, and Gilson created opals. Our glass is always properly annealed in our kiln over an extended period of time to be sure the art work is free of stress and will stand up to a much higher level of thermal and kinetic shock. Each piece is signed and dated with a titanium tipped pen by the artist. |
Having lived in Florida his entire life, John's work is influenced by (amongst other things) nature
and his exposure to aquatic life through scuba diving. His love of
glass began at an early age, as he watched glassblowers who shaped
people's names or small animal figures with clear glass. John is a
mostly self taught artist, although he works with other local artists
that influence his creativity greatly. In late 2008, John set up his
studio and purchased his torch, kiln, and tools and been lampworking
every day since.

Lindsey was born and lived in Oklahoma for the early part of
her life. She has always has artistic tendencies, enjoying writing
poetry and playing the flute as a youth. Her love of glass art came to
fruition after John worked with her on creating some lampworked beads
and pendants.
